pH was a Mistake
"For the ludicrously trivial 'advantage' of having a range of positive numbers around +7
rather than negative numbers around -7, chemists have discarded a scale of obvious meaning
in favour of one that has generated endless confusion. The pH scale is probably here to stay, however,
and so one must make the best of an error of judgement....."
