Perovskite - CaTiO3
Perovskite- CaTiO3 was first described by Gustav Rose in the 1830's who named it after the famous Russian mineralogist Count Lev Aleksevich von Perovski. It can be envisaged as a cubic unit cell with a Ti ion at the center of the cube, Ca ions at the edges of the cube and the O ions occupying the mid-points of all the faces.


Complexes that adopt this structure include..
NaNbO3, LaGaO3, KMgF3 and KZnF3
