- Chime 2.0 with the JCAMP-DX reader has only been released for
32-bit Windows (95, 98, NT).
- It is necessary to hand-edit the JCAMP-DX format spectral
files in order to enable the linkage of spectral ranges to other
windows in a display.
!!!But!!!
- All files are small and easy to load!
- Spartan, Gaussian, and Hyperchem are all readily available
for vibrational computations!!
- The hand-eye coordination possibilities for IR spectral
investigation are very useful!!!
- The capability for expansion to mass spectroscopy (show
dynamic molecule fragmentation),
- NMR spectroscopy (peak pick to highly molecular fragment),
and other graph versus structure correlations is extremely
promising!!!!
